Monster unleashes vegan energy drink

LOS ANGELES – Monster Beverage Corp. is releasing a new variety of its Java Monster energy beverages that boasts a completely plant-based ingredient deck.

New Java Monster Farmer’s Oats is made with oat milk, coffee and Monster’s signature energy blend, which includes taurine, ginseng and guarana. The beverage contains 200 mg of caffeine and 150 calories per 15-oz can.

“The sheer amount of vegan alternatives available in 2019 allows for both passionate vegans and flexitarian consumers to eat and drink together like never before,” said Geoff Kutnick, chief executive officer of food publication Foodbeast.com, which is sponsoring a launch party for the beverage. “Farmer’s Oats entrance into the marketplace couldn’t come at a better time.”

Java Monster Farmer’s Oats joins seven other varieties in the Java Monster lineup, including Mean Bean, Loca Moca, Kona Blend, Irish Blend, Vanilla Light, Salted Caramel and Swiss Chocolate.
