This is the dramatic moment a dog is rescued from the sea after she fell from a cliff.

The RNLI sent an emergency crew to save Lola who plummeted into the water from the top of Baggy Point in Ilfracombe, north Devon.

Two lifeguards jumped into the choppy sea and pulled a visibly distressed Lola on board a rescue boat.

Despite the massive fall, Lola somehow suffered ‘no major injuries’ and is now back at home well with her owner.

‘When Lola fell off Baggy point Croyde lifeguards were quick to respond with the RWC to bring her safely back to the beach,’ the RNLI wrote on Facebook.

‘Fortunately for Lola an ex local lifeguard was talking a walk along the cliff at the same time and helped calm the situation and call the lifeguards.

‘Lola is safe and well with her owner, miraculously no major injuries.’

Baggy Point is a headland renowned for its jagged cliffs and big waves.

It separates Croyde Bay and Morte Bay and was used by American forces in the Second World War as training for the Normany landings.
