Meet the guy who Dwayne Haskins was taking a selfie with while Case Keenum was in victory formation


If you’re a Redskins fan, you know Jaime López-Verduzco. You just don’t realize it.

He was the guy donning a blue and black winter jacket and posing for a selfie with Dwayne Haskins as the final seconds ticked off the clock Sunday in Washington’s win against the Detroit Lions. It was Haskins’ selfie with López-Verduzco that kept him from being able to take the final snap of the game. Backup quarterback Case Keenum had to trot onto the field for the first time all game, back-pedaling in victory formation before taking a knee.

Haskins had just led the Redskins on a six-play, 33-yard drive that culminated in a 39-yard field goal by Dustin Hopkins to give Washington a 19-16 lead with 16 seconds to play. Washington’s defense was on the field as Haskins, on the verge of his first win as an NFL quarterback, celebrated with his teammates on the sideline.
