Marsha Blackburn fires back at Chinese state reporter who called her 'bitch': 'You're a puppet'

Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn fired back at a Chinese state-affiliated journalist on Twitter Thursday after he called her a “lifetime bitch” for her criticism of the Chinese government.

The spat started Thursday morning after Mrs. Blackburn thanked President Trump for banning cotton imports from China’s western Xinjiang region, the country’s largest cotton producer that reportedly uses forced Uyghur labor.

“The U.S. will not support companies that profit off of slave labor,” the senator wrote.

China has a 5,000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change…,” she added.

The second comment sparked a wave of criticism and allegations of racism, causing the senator’s name to trend on the social media platform.

“Bitch,” responded Chen Weihua, China Daily’s European Union Bureau Chief.

“This is the most racist and ignorant US Senator I have seen. A lifetime bitch,” Mr. Chen continued.

“Wonder why the US Congress would have approval rating as low as 9% (according to Gallup)? It is because people like lowlife Marsha Blackburn were there,” he added.

Mrs. Blackburn fired back in her own tweet calling Mr. Chen “sexist.”

“Chen, you’re a puppet in Xi Jinping’s delusional China dream for global domination,” the senator tweeted. “From Tiananmen Square to Uyghur genocide, Communist China is an expert at slaughtering populations. America will not bow down to sexist communist thugs.”
