Man Utd vs Liverpool: Fans leave Old Trafford at half-time

Manchester United fans appeared to leave Old Trafford at half-time of their match against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, with their side 4-0 down at the break.

United came into the game off the back of a stunning 3-2 comeback win against Atalanta in the week, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer naming an unchanged line-up from that fixture.

His side, however, started the match poorly with Naby Keita giving Liverpool the lead after just five minutes.

Diogo Jota doubled the away side’s advantage less than ten minutes later.

Mohamed Salah then cemented himself as the all-time top-scoring African player in Premier League history with two well-taken goals before half-time.

Pictures showed numbers of fans outside Old Trafford during the interval in what would be unprecedented scenes.

Five minutes after the break, Salah completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0, before Cristiano Ronaldo then had a goal disallowed for offside.

Paul Pogba, sent on as a half-time substitute by Solskjaer for Mason Greenwood, was then sent off following a VAR review for a challenge on Keita.

The match finished 5-0 to Liverpool.
