Looking for the next Duncan Robinson? These 4 are available in this year’s draft


In the fall of 2015, I was in Ann Arbor to write a story on Caris LeVert and attended a Michigan practice. My eyes kept drifting to a sit-out transfer from Division III Williams College who was shooting on a basket by himself and splashing 3 after 3 like a machine. His shot was so fluid and easy. I felt like I was watching one of the greatest shooters in the world, and barely anybody knew his name. That guy was Duncan Robinson, now starting for the Miami Heat and becoming universally recognized as indeed one of the greatest shooters in the world. 

Robinson is such a weapon as a 3-point specialist that every NBA team would like to find a clone, and his success will likely generate some opportunities for others like him in the upcoming draft. I’ll identify four candidates below who are either in the undrafted or bottom of the second-round range.
