Barcelona have competition from Liverpool and Arsenal in the race to sign German wonderkid Karim Adeyemi, according to reports.

The 17-year-old has netted eight times in just 13 appearances while out on loan in Austrian Bundesliga 2 this season with Liefering from RB Salzburg.

The talented striker has long caught the eye of Spanish giants Barcelona – most specifically academy director Partrick Kluivert.

However, according to Spanish publication Sport, Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal are now monitoring Adeyemi’s situation.

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are also keeping close tabs on the sought-after teenager.

Liverpool, currently setting the pace in the Premier League, first discovered Adeyemi coming up against the striker in the UEFA Youth League.

Meanwhile, if Barcelona were to get their man, they would look to build up Adeyemi’s experience in their B side but would entice him with the promise of La Liga action in the future.

Adeyemi joined Salzburg from SpVgg Unterhaching in July 2018 for £2.8million following a two-year spell in Bayern Munich’s academy between 2010-12.

But Salzburg would now demand a much heftier fee from any suitors, having reportedly turned down a £15m offer previously.
