Lions 53-man roster projection: Fight ahead for the final spots


I don’t think I’m cut out to be a GM. I mean, sure, like anyone who’s ever fired up franchise mode in Madden, I’ve always assumed I could thrive if called upon (and I’ll answer should any NFL team need a hand). But this first Lions roster projection for the 2020 season — done before anyone’s even practiced and with no bearing on actual roster moves — took me a good 48 hours to nail down.

Cutting down from 90 to 60 or so wasn’t a problem, but there were a lot of decisions to be made for those final few spots. As is tradition, I’m counting on all of you to let me know what I’ve gotten wrong.

Version 1.0:

Quarterbacks (3): Matthew Stafford, Chase Daniel, David Blough
