Leroux: Breaking down the 2020 big man free-agent market


The 2020 free agent class is uninspiring overall but will still shape the NBA over the next few seasons. Shifts around the league have led to a broad but not universal drop in demand for centers while the supply is pretty high and growing each season.

Since this three-piece series will split the upcoming free agent class into point guards, wings and big men, inevitably there will be some tough classification decisions. All centers will be included here but I separated power forwards on whether they could handle a switch-heavy scheme, since some front offices would treat them like wings in their system. Rest assured, every potential free agent will be considered in one of the three pieces.
