LeBron has 'directly' contacted Kawhi about joining Lakers?

Abraham has been very plugged in to the Lakers’ offseason plans thus far and was the first to report Leonard’s planned visit — a day ahead of other NBA insiders.

It’s hardly surprising that King James is being proactive about pursuing Leonard. He is in Los Angeles to pursue another title, and the best way to do that is by bringing in the most talented players possible. It’s also not hard to imagine LeBron still has some significant power when it comes to luring free agents.

The Lakers have more to offer Leonard than just the chance to team up with James, Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma, however. They now have the cash to offer a max deal to any veteran free agent following a couple of moves on Thursday.

So, if Leonard really is interested in moving back to Southern California, where it all started for him at Canyon Springs High School, and then at San Diego State, he has the perfect opportunity to do it and contend for a title.

Then again, there’s another team in Los Angeles, and many reports indicate Leonard is more likely to sign with the Clippers than the Lakers. Stay tuned!
