Krispy Kreme Is Giving Away Free Doughnuts to Literally Anyone Who Stops by Its Stores

Glazed, chocolate, filled, or topped with sprinkles, doughnuts are a warm, comforting treat that have the power to make just about any day a little bit better. Krispy Kreme is spreading a little bit of that doughnut magic this year by extending its National Doughnut Day (June 5) to a full National Doughnut week, so dessert is on the house. From June 1 to June 5, customers who stop by any Krispy Kreme location can claim a free doughnut of their choice, no strings attached. So, does anyone else have their eye on a chocolate-filled glazed doughnut?

In addition to giving out free treats to everyone, Krispy Kreme has also been delivering complimentary boxes of doughnuts to medical workers across the country as a thank you for the hard work they have been doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

There is one catch to the National Doughnut Week deal: the free doughnuts are only available in person at Krispy Kreme stores. While the doughnut chain has reopened shops for carry-out and pickup orders placed online, the number of guests allowed inside stores is limited, and signs around the shops encourage customers to social distance. Dine-in seating areas remain closed, but you can swing by the drive-through to claim your free doughnut.

For other orders, Krispy Kreme also encourages customers to use its app or website for no-contact delivery and pickup options. According to the brand’s website, online orders will only be available for pickup through the drive-through or at the front door of most shops. So if you decide to satisfy your doughnut craving this week, remember to take safe social-distancing precautions!
