In one of his first seasons in Toronto, as he strode to the interview room opposite the Raptors’ locker room, he promised a team staffer he would set a record for the shortest press conference in franchise history. On that day, he was so disinterested in engaging, so unwilling to thoughtfully answer a question, that he made OG Anunoby seem like an auteur director promoting his latest film.
On Tuesday, Lowry conducted his latest in the ongoing series of his potential last press conference as a Toronto Raptor. The last one was in March, before the trade deadline, and it was gold. Tuesday’s was almost twice as long, and somehow even better.
