Knicks coaching staff coming together as OTAs begin


The Knicks continue to put together a coaching staff for Tom Thibodeau, slowly announcing names and making hires. The team is in the process of adding Chris Santo to the staff in the video department, league sources told The Athletic.

Santo had been an assistant coach at Saint Anselm, his alma mater, for four seasons until this summer. A Cherry Hill, N.J., native just like new president Leon Rose, Santo was named to a list of the 50 top Division II assistants in July.

New York officially added Johnnie Bryant, Mike Woodson and Andy Greer 10 days ago. Bryant will be the associate head coach, coming over from Utah after the Jazz were eliminated from the playoffs. He comes with a sterling reputation in player development and for building relationships. All-Star Donovan Mitchell has spoken highly of him in recent years because of their work together since he came into the NBA. Bryant has also worked closely with Damian Lillard.
