When Kevin Love entered training camp in December, he brought back a renewed love of the game.
The extended offseason — after the 2019-20 season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Cavs missing out on the bubble — left Love on the outside, looking in at the teams in the bubble and watching “The Last Dance.” He had time to reflect on his 12 years in the league. He rediscovered a hunger to play and to grow as a player.
“Then I get into training camp, and I’m like, ‘Man, I haven’t felt this good in years. I really feel amazing,’” Love said. “I think it was the break as well as all the work I put in in the offseason just to feel great and go out there and just compete and be the best for the team and my guys and for myself.
