Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard rekindle memories of a forgotten classic and their two-way dominance


With his first foray into unrestricted free agency, Kevin Durant decided to team with two-time MVP Steph Curry to join a team that had just broken the record for most wins in a regular season. With his second, he teamed up with his pal Kyrie Irving, who had previously been the second-best player on one of the most memorable title winners of the 21st century. Durant had the good fortune to be drafted by a franchise that, with its next two lottery picks after taking him in 2007, selected Russell Westbrook and James Harden, the latter of whom he would team with again in Brooklyn.
