Jon Rahm: Kobe Bryant's 'Mamba mentality' inspires us all

The Kobe Bryant tributes keep rolling in.

After arriving home from the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines where he finished in second place, Jon Rahm took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the passing of the legendary Los Angeles Lakers guard at just 41 years old.

“Kobe was a great reference of mind,” said Rahm, who also shared a second video in Spanish. “I’ve studied his career and even though it’s not the same sport, the way he dedicated to his work, the attention to detail, and how much he put in to every day of his life, trying to be the best player, the best he could be, it’s truly inspiring.”

“He’s inspired so many people and I aspired to be like him in that sense, trying to be the best I could become and have the Mamba mentality that he only had,” added Rahm, who called Bryant not only one of the greatest basketball players of all-time, but also one of the greatest athletes.
