Saturday night saw the Sixers square off against another overmatched opponent, this time the 20-48 Detroit Pistons, who had lost seven of their past nine games overall, and seven straight on the road, coming into their game in Philadelphia.
Like the previous night against the Pelicans, the Sixers jumped out to an early lead in this one, starting the game on an 11-2 run. Unlike Friday night’s game, where New Orleans came back and led for much of the fourth quarter before the Sixers finally took control, Doc Rivers’ squad never let up in this one.
