What else do we know about Die, My Love?

Per Deadline, Die, My Love is set in rural America and “is a portrait of a woman (Lawrence) engulfed by love and madness.”

Pattinson plays Lawrence’s husband in the movie, while Stanfield plays her love. The cast also includes Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte.

Ramsay co-wrote the screenplay alongside Enda Walsh. Lawrence and Justine Ciarrocchi are producing the movie for Excellent Cadaver, while Martin Scorsese, Andrea Calderwood, and Black Label Media also serve as producers. Black Label Media financed the project.

“It’s impossible to convey what it’s like to witness Lynne Ramsay make art,” Excellent Cadaver said in a statement. “She’s one of one.”

Ramsay made her feature film directorial debut in 1999 with Ratcatcher. She followed that up with 2002’s Morvern Callar before she then went on to make 2011’s We Need to Talk About Kevin and, most recently, 2017’s You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Per Variety, Ramsay previously said of Die, My Love, “It’s about mental health…and the breakdown of a marriage. But it’s really f—ing funny. At least I think it’s funny… But I’m Glaswegian, so I’ve a really black sense of humor.”

A release date for Die, My Love has not yet been announced.
