JD McKissic update after being carted off following scary hit


Washington Football Team running back JD McKissic was carted off the field Monday night late in the fourth quarter. McKissic’s head and neck appeared to be jammed while being tackled by Seattle Seahawks defensive back Quandre Diggs.

It was evident immediately McKissic was injured as he laid on the turf of FedEx Field.

McKissic suffered a neck injury, but the team won’t know the severity of the injury until further testing Tuesday, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post.

Washington teammates said after the game, McKissic was walking around the locker room. His agent, Doug Henderson, provided a positive update saying McKissic is “all good.”

The somber ending overshadowed McKissic’s best game of the season. Playing against his former team, He scored two touchdowns to help lift Washington to a 17-15 win over the Seahawks. 

Based off the updates provided, McKissic escaped a more severe injury.

McKissic has partnered with Antonio Gibson as one of the more formidable running back duos in the NFL. Gibson has been the lead back, using his power running to chalk out yards.

McKissic is one of the best pass-catching running backs in the league. He can carry the football enough to keep the opposing defenses honest. He has averaged 6.7 yards per touch this season.

Washington will now wait and see how things officially check out Tuesday
