Jazz win Game 3 with stretches of dominance from Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert


Quin Snyder sifted his way through the crowd, located his star guard and gave Donovan Mitchell a quick hug. And then both men let out a quick exhale.

Saturday night was difficult for the Utah Jazz. A 121-111 Game 3 win over the Memphis Grizzlies was no doubt rewarding. After a Game 1 loss, the Jazz now lead what has become a tough first-round series 2-1. The Grizzlies had FedExForum rocking, with “Whoop That Trick” from the classic movie “Hustle & Flow” blaring loudly during a timeout after a Memphis fourth-quarter run. And, in truth, the Grizzlies during significant parts of that fourth quarter looked like the more composed team, even taking a lead with four minutes remaining.

But on Saturday night, the Jazz had Mitchell, and the Grizzlies didn’t. The Jazz had
