Jazz set to get close look at key draft prospects as part of important offseason

The Utah Jazz are on the verge of beginning their postseason in earnest.

Next week, the Jazz will select No. 30 in the NBA Draft. Free agency and an important summer league will follow. For the Jazz, each step is important. Finding a way past the second round of the Western Conference playoffs is a goal when it comes to roster construction. And when it comes to the construction of the roster for next season and beyond, each step is important.

On Thursday, the Jazz will hold an important pre-draft workout, league sources tell The Athletic. The participants, according to sources, will include Quentin Grimes, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Houston, David Duke, a 6-5 point guard from Providence, and Matt Mitchell, a 6-6 small forward from San Diego State.

Grimes is someone the Jazz like at No. 30.
