Things could get a little messy with Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets because devastating injuries to NBA superstars, especially this superstar, tend to get messy.
The rehabilitation, the ever-changing timetable and all the endless speculation can make an already stressful and sometimes confusing situation even more complicated. It happened with Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls, Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs and of course Durant and the Golden State Warriors.
The Brooklyn Nets knew what they were getting into when Durant picked them last July. The greatest free agent signing in franchise history comes with a rather large warning label; fragile, both physically and mentally.
