Intel Gets Lawsuit Narrowed Over Microprocessor Security Flaws – Bloomberg Law


Intel Corp. faces a trimmed proposed class action alleging microprocessor flaws created security vulnerabilities, as a federal court in Oregon allowed claims only by those who bought or leased computers 90 days after Intel was notified of the first vulnerability in 2017.

The Intel users didn’t show improper conduct by the company before Sept. 1, 2017, the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon said. It dismissed with prejudice claims based on the company’s conduct before that date.

The consumers allege Intel knew about certain defects in its microprocessors but failed to disclose or mitigate them.
