This was the most Kangz loss of the season.
In the final 69 seconds of Sunday’s 127-126 loss to the Charlotte Hornets at Golden 1 Center, the Sacramento Kings provided a blueprint of how to do everything possible to lose a game.
Missed free throws? There were five.
Foul a 3-point shooter? That happened, too.
Give up a 3-point play when that’s the only scenario that can beat you? Check.
It all adds up to the Kings’ 10th loss in 11 games.
“I really don’t know what to say,” forward Marvin Bagley III said. “We’ve got to have that one. Down the stretch, I missed a couple free throws that could have put the game away. We missed free throws that could have put the game away. That’s a bad one.”
The loss highlighted many of the flaws that have plagued the Kings, not just this season, but since 2006 when the team last reached the postseason.
