How Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton manipulated the Nets’ defense in Game 4


Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer carefully scripts the first offensive possession of each game and typically the next few possessions that follow.

In Game 4, the Bucks ran sets for point guard Jrue Holiday to take four shots in the first two minutes of the game, a nudge from Budenholzer and his teammates to be slightly more aggressive. In Game 3, the opening set featured Khris Middleton whipping around a screen from Giannis Antetokounmpo on a curl cut to the basket. The set and the screen let Middleton fly past Bruce Brown and Blake Griffin, only to find Kevin Durant waiting for him at the rim.
