How Clippers adjust for Game 2 against Jazz: Physicality, owning the space, ‘just shoot it!’


The Clippers lost their first road game of the postseason Tuesday night when the Jazz took Game 1 of their second-round series 112-109. While many circumstances led to that loss, the Clippers have an opportunity Thursday night in Game 2 to tie the series and avoid a second straight 2-0 deficit. There are many adjustments the Clippers could make and anticipate, so let’s get right to it:

There was a moment in the fourth quarter of Game 1 where Paul George was alone at the top of the key against Rudy Gobert following a defensive rebound. George spent eight seconds sizing up Gobert before deciding on a stepback 3 that missed.
