Veggie burgers aren’t just for Veganuary.

Sticking to this important mantra is Honest Burgers, who will soon open the doors of their first entirely vegan eatery.

Called V Honest (v for vegan, get it?), the plant-based brand will open its doors in Covent Garden on January 20, 2022, and offer Honest’s most extensive vegan selection to date.

There’ll be classics you know and love – the Honest, Tribute, and Chilli burgers, but vegan, for example – but also some fun new bits that vegetarians, vegans, and their meat-eating pals will enjoy.

Some of the dishes on offer:

  • Buffalo burger: Fried chick’n, buffalo sauce, applewood vegan cheese, ranch mayo, lettuce, and pickles
  • Teriyaki burger: Plant burger, applewood vegan cheese, pulled shiitake mushrooms, teriyaki sauce, grilled peppers, spring onions, umami mayo, and lettuce
  • Pesto burger: Fried chik’n, basil pesto, mustard mayo, tomato and rocket.

All of these can be taken up a notch with the addition of vegan THIS Isn’t Bacon rashers, and if you’re gluten-free, you can ask for a special bun.

Just like at usual Honest restaurants, all burgers come with those delicious rosemary chips, and there will be limited-edition specials made in collaboration with chefs and traders.

If you’re after more than a burger and chips, you’ll want to check out the three all-vegan and gluten-free sides: coleslaw, buffalo tenders with shoestring fries, and pulled shiitake nuggets.

Dips wise, you can take your pick from plant-based chipotle or umami mayo, or vegan bacon ketchup.

Vegan milkshakes are coming down the line, too.

As well as the restaurant at 17 Garrick Street, V Honest will be available from delivery-only kitchens across London, so you can treat yourself whenever you fancy.

Honest Burgers co-founder Tom Barton said ‘Since we launched our first vegan
and flexitarian burgers at Honest back in 2018, we’ve seen them go from strength to strength.

‘But we just don’t have space in our Honest Burgers kitchens to put more plant-based burgers on the menu so we felt the best thing to do was to give them a home of their own.

V Honest is that home and it gives us the chance to spend even more time developing brand new burgers, collaborations and showcasing some of the best vegan food in the country.’
