Hollinger: Ten observations from the Clippers’ OT win over the Celtics


LOS ANGELES — Ten observations from the Clippers’ 107-104 overtime win over the Celtics, arguably the best game of the young season … plus one bonus observation that has nothing to do with them at all:

1. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George had one practice together with the Clippers before Wednesday. I’m told they were on opposite teams in a scrimmage, so they hadn’t played with each other at all.

For a pair of strangers who both like to keep the ball in their hands, the chemistry didn’t seem bad at all. Most notably, both shot the ball comfortably and willingly off catch-and-shoot opportunities created by the other, rather than feeling the need to pound it a few times themselves (high-usage players often struggle with this  – witness LeBron James and Dwyane Wade’s first season together).
