LAS VEGAS – “Dollar Bill Kirill” or “Kirill the Trill?”
Inquiry minds want to know, what nickname does Russian rookie phenom Kirill Kaprizov prefer?
“For me, in the past … any team that I was on, no one’s ever called me Kirill,” Kaprizov said Tuesday from a banquet hall inside the Minnesota Wild’s hotel along the Vegas strip. “It was always Kapriz or Kapo or some other kind of nickname. But between these two, I’m really indifferent. I like them both, so I’ll let the fans decide that.”
With the way Kaprizov has been playing during his first six weeks in the NHL, “Special K” works, too.
