Health-Ade names new COO

LOS ANGELES — David Yarmoff has been named chief operations officer at Health-Ade, a maker of fermented kombucha tea.

He brings more than two decades of beverage industry experience with a focus on operations and supply chain to his new role. He previously was senior vice president of operations for the Cholula Food Co. Before that he was senior vice president of co-pack corporate development at beverage manufacturer Lassonde Pappas and senior vice president of operations and procurement at Switch Beverage Co. He also was director of operations strategy at Cadbury Schweppes and vice president of product commercialization and director of supply chain at Snapple Beverage Group.

Mr. Yarmoff succeeds Justin Trout, co-founder and former COO of Health-Ade, who has stepped aside to pursue other opportunities after nearly a decade of helping to start and grow the business. Mr. Trout founded the company in 2012 alongside his wife Diana Trout and friend Vanessa Dew. Since then, it has expanded to more than 45,000 stores nationwide.

“While I am moving on, I do it with confidence knowing that Health-Ade remains in the very capable hands and under the leadership of Health-Ade’s CEO Jack Belsito, and newly appointed chief operations officer, David Yarmoff,” Mr. Trout said. “It has been a privilege to be part of the journey that brought Health-Ade from the farmers’ market to almost 50,000 retail doors.”
