There have been a few weeks to process everything that happened in the Hawks’ 2020-21 season, and it’s still hard to comprehend what this team went through and accomplished.
Completely overhauling the roster in the offseason. Losing their prized free-agent signing less than 10 games in. Continuously blowing leads in the fourth quarter. Firing their coach midway through the year. Winning eight straight games. Clinching a playoff berth. Making it to the Eastern Conference finals.
The only way to describe this year is to call it a wild ride, so I wanted to look back at the moments and games that I thought defined the season. Included below are insights and some stories I hadn’t told during the season on some of the biggest events for the Hawks.
Let’s get to it.
