‘Hamilton’: What Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Cast Have Done After the Show

Since its Broadway premiere in 2015, “Hamilton” has always been a smash hit with the theater crowd, but its release on Disney Plus opened it up for so many more people to enjoy. Instead of paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars to watch the hip hop musical on stage, viewers can get the best seat in the house and watch it from the comfort of their own homes for the price of a Disney Plus subscription.

Many of the “Hamilton” cast members have gone on to have successful careers in film and TV. Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has his next film adaptation, “In the Heights,” set for a theatrical release next year with “Crazy Rich Asians” director Jon M. Chu. Anthony Ramos, who played John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton, will star in the film, which should have “Hamilton” fans already ordering their tickets.

Daveed Diggs, who won a Tony for his dual role as Marquis de Lafayette and fellow founding father Thomas Jefferson, has gone on to star in TNT’s new series “Snowpiercer,” based on the Bong Joon Ho film of the same name.

After nearly stealing the show as King George, Jonathan Groff went on to star in Netflix’s dark crime thriller “Mindhunter,” executive produced by Oscar-nominated director David Fincher. The show has released two hit seasons, though it is on an indefinite hold for more. He’s also given his voice to Kristoff, the lovable boyfriend to Princess Anna in Disney’s “Frozen” and “Frozen 2.”

After watching “Hamilton,” see what other film and TV the cast has done.
