Hair perfumes to lift your spirits (and your greasy locks)

Scent has the power to connect us to good memories

A hair perfume is the pick-me-up you’ve probably not thought of.

Regular fragrance for the body is made up of perfume oil and alcohol, so you wouldn’t want that in your hair as it would contribute to drying out the lengths.

Hair perfumes are made with lower (if any) alcohol concentrations and usually have some kind of hair-loving ingredient infused.

Right now, wearing your usual perfume may feel like an extravagant gesture while sat in your loungewear at home, so why not consider a lighter hair perfume?

Scent has long been linked with anchoring people in good memories – something we all need right now.

A hair perfume will mask greasy odors and it just might lift your mood too.

Helen Dunhan, product manager at Miller Harris, says the smell of a hair perfume ‘trails as your hair moves and is perfect for working at home, when you want your scent to be subtle but always with you, picking you up throughout the day.’

Of course, you can use hair mists on your body too if you just prefer a gentle scent. But which ones are worth trying?
