Gulfstream West’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Tops $1 Million For Saturday; Mandatory Payout Sunday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot grew to $1,028,040.19 for Saturday’s program at Gulfstream Park West when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved Friday for the 38th racing day in a row.

A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot has been scheduled for Sunday, the closing day of the Fall Turf Festival. Should the jackpot wager go unsolved on Saturday, the Rainbow 6 pool could well swell into the multi-millions.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on mandatory payout days, bettors holding tickets with the most winners will share in the entire pool.

There will also be mandatory payouts for the Late Pick 5, Late Pick 4 and the last-race Super Hi-5.

Multiple Rainbow 6 tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $4,156.14.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot stood at $982,619.32 at the start of Rainbow 6 wagering Friday, when a total of $189,273 was bet into the multi-race pool.

The Rainbow 6 was solved at Gulfstream Park for a $2.2 million jackpot payoff Sept. 27 after going unsolved for 47 consecutive racing days.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 Carryover of $2,193.82 heading into Saturday’s card.
