Artist Stephanie H Shih, who lives and works in Brooklyn, makes ceramic sculptures of Asian American pantry items from the 1980s and 90s.
“Groceries are surprisingly intimate,” she says. “We bring them into our homes, we live with them, we feed our loved ones with them – and the project is about the shared nostalgia of a generation raised by east Asian immigrants.”
