Following a 3-2 victory over Sweden in the semifinal round, the U.S. will face Canada with the gold medal on the line. This marks the second meeting of the tournament for these two teams. They met on June 9 in the final preliminary round game, with the U.S. coming out on top, 7-0. It marked the U.S.’s first shutout of Canada in U18 Women’s World Championship play
