Giants hire Bills OC Brian Daboll as new head coach

The New York Giants hired Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as their new head coach, the team announced Friday.

Daboll had been with Buffalo since 2018, transforming the offense into a top-five unit in the NFL the last two seasons. He’s had previous offensive-coordinator stints with the Chiefs, Dolphins and Browns, as well as in the college ranks at Alabama.

The Bills are coming off a season in which they claimed the AFC East title with an 11-6 regular-season record. Their season came to an end last week with a crushing overtime loss to Kansas City in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Daboll will be reunited with former Bills executive Joe Schoen, who the Giants hired as their new general manager last week.
