ATHENS, Ga. — Kirby Smart talked a lot, during a media session on Tuesday, about mental preparation and “programming,” as he termed it. So he was asked what that meant for The Big Question: Did he talk to the team about the desire to win a national championship?
“You have to be careful when you make things just about that,” Smart said. “I realize the standard of excellence that’s been created here and the expectation. We never shy away from those expectations, but that’s not going to get the end goal.”
Thus they don’t talk about that every day, Smart added.
