From a shocking Jazz playoff loss to roster uncertainty: Where does Utah go from here?

Joe Ingles awakened on Saturday morning to an eerie feeling.

He was home, which is where he was supposed to be. But, there was a finality to the morning that made everything strange. There was no basketball to be played. There was no practice to go to, no film session to attend. He turned to his wife, Renae, and the couple talked for a few minutes. Everything seemed to move in slow motion.

Ingles and his Utah Jazz teammates were supposed to be gearing up for Sunday’s Game 7 against the LA Clippers. Instead, he ended up on a Zoom call with reporters, recapping a somber end. He and his teammates were supposed to be continuing a march to what they hoped to be an NBA title. Instead, Ingles and the Jazz were left to pick up the pieces of Friday night’s epic Game 6 collapse that won’t soon be forgotten in Jazz history.
