Friday’s Stronach 5 Returns $1,407 To Each Of 536 Winners

There were 536 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, each returning $1,407.40.

Bolstered by a carryover of $167,951.23 from Feb. 21, the popular national wager with an industry-low 12 percent takeout saw its pool swell to $833,513.

Friday’s sequence kicked off in the eighth-race finale at Laurel Park, won by Trimmed in Grey ($8.40). American Ninja ($14) took Gulfstream Park’s eighth race, followed by Mister McLean ($6.20) in the third at Golden Gate Fields, favored Malibu Cat ($5.60) in the third at Santa Anita Park, and Souper Courage ($10.20) in the 10th at Gulfstream.

Friday’s races and sequence

· Leg One – Laurel Park 8th Race: Trimmed in Grey $8.40

· Leg Two – Gulfstream Park 8th Race: American Ninja $14.00

· Leg Three – Golden Gate Fields 3rd Race: Mister McLean $6.20

· Leg Four – Santa Anita 3rd Race: Malibu Cat $5.60

· Leg Five – Gulfstream Park 10th Race: Souper Courage $10.20

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.

The Maryland Jockey Club serves as host of the Stronach 5.
