City planners around the nation spend plenty of time scratching their heads searching for answers on how to improve mobility in their towns. Answers to questions such as what to do about dangerous roads and intersections, better use of public transit and whether or not there are enough parking spaces.
Ford Motor Co.’s Ford Mobility unit has come up with a software platform that uses, in part, connected car data to help cities solve those problems. Ann Arbor, Mich. is one of the first cities to partner with Ford Mobility on the project.
