The Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 11th consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park Friday, producing a carryover jackpot of $287,718.53 for Saturday’s program at the Hallandale Beach, Fla., track.
Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $7,700.94.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.
Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 7-12, including the Added Elegance Stakes in Race 11. Royal Asscher, who finished third in the June 30 Princess Rooney (G2) at Gulfstream, has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite in a field of 11 fillies and mares entered in the seven-furlong sprint on the main track.
