The 2020 US Open welcomes a field of 144 to Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. Each of the top 21 golfers in the Golfweek/Sagarin world rankings are in attendance with Scottie Scheffler (No. 22), Brooks Koepka (84) and Francesco Molinari (329) among the early withdrawals. Below, we look at the fantasy golf power rankings for the top 30 golfers for the 2020 US Open.
The major will be held again June 17-20, 2021 at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California. It will return to its usual spot as the third major of 2021. The 2020 Masters is set for Nov. 12-15 at Augusta National Golf Club.

30. Martin Kaymer (+10000)
The 35-year-old German has resurfaced on the European Tour in 2020 with four top-10 finishes in nine events. He has climbed up from No. 125 to No. 87 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
29. Mackenzie Hughes (+15000)
Nearly four years removed from his only PGA Tour win to date, Hughes has soared from No. 264 to No. 56 in the OWGR entering the week. He was sixth on Tour in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green in the 2019-20 season and has a great track record on more difficult courses.
28. Brendon Todd (+10000)
A two-time winner amid weaker fields in the PGA Tour’s fall swing last year, Todd proved he can compete in stronger contingents with a T-17 finish at the PGA Championship and T-8 at the BMW Championship. He’s a safe play who can stay out of trouble and have success with the winning score expected to be around even par.
27. Sungjae Im (+7000)
After winning The Honda Classic and finishing third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational before the season was suspended due to COVID-19, Im never truly regained form once play resumed. He missed the cut at the PGA Championship but rebounded for a T-9 at the Wyndham Championship the following week.
26. Harris English (+6600)
A distant runner-up finish to Dustin Johnson at The Northern Trust highlighted his 2019-20 season. He ranks eighth on Tour with 1.78 strokes gained per round on the average Tour pro over his last 20 rounds, according to Data Golf.
25. Paul Casey (+5000)
Hasn’t finished in the top 10 of the US Open since 2007 but tied for second at the PGA Championship last month. He’s averaging 1.12 SG: Tee-to-Green in 2020.
24. Tiger Woods (+4500)
A three-time winner of the US Open, it may be the toughest major for him to win again due to his repaired back. He finished T-21 under easier conditions at Pebble Beach Golf Links, but he missed the cut in the 2006 US Open at Winged Foot before winning The Open Championship and PGA Championship that year.
23. Sergio Garcia (+12500)
Two of the 2017 Masters champ’s three top 10s in 2020 came on the Euro Tour, but he was T-5 in a strong field at the RBC Heritage. He’s averaging 1.68 SG: Tee-to-Green per round.
22. Abraham Ancer (+8000)
The 29-year-old will play in just his sixth major championship this week and has a top finish of T-16 in the 2019 PGA Championship thus far. He was 12th on Tour last season in Bogey Avoidance and can avoid damaging scores on tough courses.
21. Gary Woodland (+8000)
Last year’s US Open champ will have a difficult time defending his title on a very different and much tougher course. He averaged 1.79 SG: Putting per round in his win last year.
20. Viktor Hovland (+5000)
Last year’s low amateur at Pebble Beach with a T-12 finish will play his second career major as a professional. He was T-33 at the PGA Championship and made it all the way to the Tour Championship in his first full season on Tour.
19. Matthew Fitzpatrick (+5000)
Four top 10s on the PGA Tour this year all came in high-profile events with a top finish of third in the major-like conditions and field of the Memorial Tournament. Has back-to-back T-12 showings at the US Open.
18. Hideki Matsuyama (+3300)
A five-time PGA Tour winner who hasn’t won since Aug. 2017. He was the runner-up at the US Open that year. He’s averaging 1.79 SG: Tee-to-Green in 2020.
17. Tyrrell Hatton (+4000)
After winning four times on the European Tour, he got his first PGA Tour win this season at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He was T-6 at the 2018 US Open where Brooks Koepka won at plus-1.
16. Patrick Reed (+3500)
The 2018 Masters champ followed that up with a fourth-place finish at the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. He tied for 13th at the PGA Championship and finished T-8 at the Tour Championship.
15. Patrick Cantlay (+2800)
Cantlay has had one of the lighter schedules of the top pros since the PGA Tour’s restart. He was eliminated from the FedEx Cup Playoffs with a T-12 finish at the BMW Championship but is still tied for ninth by the betting odds to win.
14. Justin Rose (+4000)
Missed the cut in four of his last six events but finished solo ninth at the PGA Championship. Form hasn’t been great, but he’s still one of the top irons players on Tour when at his best.
13. Adam Scott (+4000)
One of the few players in the field with meaningful tournament experience at Winged Foot, Scott finished T-21 at the ’06 US Open. He has three top-10 finishes in his last six US Opens and won the Genesis Invitational in February.
12. Tommy Fleetwood (+3500)
Fleetwood’s one of the few top-ranked golfers who teed it up last week. He secured a T-3 finish in the Euro Tour’s Portugal Masters. He tied for 65th last year at Pebble Beach but was the runner-up in much tougher conditions in 2018.
11. Jason Day (+4000)
Led the Tour last season in SG: Around-the-Green. The former world No. 1 had a resurgent stretch of four top-10 finishes from the Workday Charity Open through the PGA Championship.
10. Tony Finau (+3300)
Missed the cut at last year’s US Open but was fifth in 2018. Has six top-10 results in his last nine major appearances.
9. Bryson DeChambeau (+2200)
The PGA Tour’s leader in SG: Off-the-Tee last season, his added bulk and swing speed will help with the distance and ability to escape the rough required at the US Open. He tied for fourth at the PGA Championship in his first major since his transformation.
8. Xander Schauffele (+1600)
Comes off an excellent stretch run through the end of the 2019-20 season which ended with a T-2 at the Tour Championship. The US Open has been his best of the four majors with three straight top-10 finishes.
7. Collin Morikawa (+1800)
The 2020 PGA Championship winner is just sixth by the betting odds to win the US Open. He’s averaging 1.66 SG: Tee-to-Green and 1.04 SG: Approach in 2020.
6. Daniel Berger (+2800)
A phenomenal 2020 season has pushed Berger to fifth in the Golfweek rankings and 13th in the OWGR. He has just one missed cut and seven top 10s in his last 11 events, including his win at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
5. Webb Simpson (+2500)
The 2012 US Open champ has enjoyed one of his best PGA Tour seasons with two wins and four other top 10s. He led the Tour last season in Bogey Avoidance and was seventh in 3-Putt Avoidance.
4. Jon Rahm (+1000)
The top-ranked player in the Golfweek rankings. Rahm has two wins, two other top 10s and a T-13 at the PGA Championship in his last six events.
3. Justin Thomas (+1400)
Thomas had a disappointing T-37 finish at the PGA Championship after winning the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. He rebounded a few weeks later to finish T-2 at the Tour Championship. Led the Tour in SG: Tee-to-Green and SG: Approach through 58 measured rounds last season.
2. Rory McIlroy (+1400)
McIlroy, the No. 2 player in the Golfweek rankings, previously admitted his impending fatherhood was a distraction amid struggles (by his standards) since the Tour’s restart. He got back on the right track by finishing T-7 by 72-hole score at the Tour Championship.
1. Dustin Johnson (+800)
Johnson enters the week atop the OWGR, fourth in the Golfweek rankings and first by the betting odds after his Tour Championship and FedEx Cup wins. The 23-time PGA Tour winner hasn’t won a major since the 2016 US Open, but he was second or T-2 in three of his last five attempts.
