In a recent episode of her Let’s Talk Purity Podcast, ministry founder Brittni De La Mora spoke on the importance of bold prayers.
De La Mora, who co-hosts the podcast with her husband Richard De La Mora, is a former pornstar who left the adult film industry in 2012 and gave her life to Christ.
“I’ve seen God move miracles,” she said during the podcast episode. “I have literally seen God move in mighty, powerful ways through just praying bold prayers and through believing that God would come through.”
As an example of God working miracles, De La Mora shared the story of a severely sick woman whose doctors told her she was at the point of death. When De La Mora heard the prognosis, she, along with friends and family, prayed that God would perform a miracle and save the sick woman.
“We prayed for her, and we just prayed that God would perform a miracle … rebuking the words that the doctors had spoken over her,” she explained. “Within several hours, it was a true miracle that happened … she was no longer being proclaimed that she was either going to be dead or brain dead.”
According to The Christian Post, during the podcast episode, De La Mora also stressed the importance of bold prayers, arguing that “your prayer life just gets deeper and deeper” as your relationship with God grows stronger.
“We serve a big God who loves us, who wants to help us,” Richard added.
Citing the book of James, he emphasized that Christians must pray without self-centered motives.
“It goes back to the book of James … you could petition your prayers, but if your motives are off in your prayer life and it’s all about selfish ambition, selfish desires, the Scripture says that God won’t answer those prayers,” Richard said. “This is why purity of heart is so important.”
In 2020, the couple founded Love Always Ministries to help people discover God’s love in their lives and walk in victory through a life of purity.
