Things can change rather quickly in the NBA. Rockets veteran Eric Gordon understands this better than most.
This time last year, Gordon was part of a Rockets squad still considered a contender — one with serious championship aspirations. Just three years ago, this team was knocking on the door of the NBA Finals. The transition to the worst record in the NBA and the early stages of a rebuild can be quite sudden and shocking to think about, which Gordon says he does often.
The 2020-21 season also hasn’t been particularly kind to Gordon’s health, either. He’s missed nearly 70 percent of the Rockets’ games due to various injuries, most recently a groin injury suffered in March.
