Emma Raducanu the new face of Dior as British tennis star boosts profile once more

Playing her first tournament since winning the US Open, Raducanu came into the WTA 1000 event as the 17th seed and earned a bye straight into the second round.

She lost in straight sets to world No 100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich and later withdrew from this week’s Kremlin Cup in Moscow, citing a change in schedule.

The world No 24 is next due to compete in next week’s Transylvania Open, in her father’s home country of Romania.

She also has the Upper Ladies Austria Linz in her schedule for the week after, and is set to play two exhibition events before the end of the year at the Champions Tennis event in London and the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.
