Eagles coaching search news tracker: Duce Staley gets another shot at top job

What it means: Jeffrey Lurie said on Monday that Staley would be a candidate. He interviewed for the head-coaching job during the last hiring cycle in 2016. The Eagles know him well, so an interview would likely focus on Staley’s vision and staff. Staley has been with the organization as a coach for 10 seasons. He’s the last holdover from the Andy Reid era and survived the Chip Kelly era before working under Pederson. Staley has helped with special teams and coached the running backs, and he had the “assistant head coach” title added in 2018.
