Dolphins’ 11th annual Challenge Cancer race ‘an awesome gathering of people’


MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — It was a joyous and spirited Saturday morning at Hard Rock Stadium, where the Dolphins held their Challenge Cancer event, an annual fundraiser to raise money for cancer research. As bikers and runners crossed the finish line, they were greeted by coach Brian Flores, who awarded each participant with a medal to celebrate their completion.

Saturday’s philanthropic race featured five events: 15-, 25-, 50- and 100-mile bike rides, along with a 5-kilometer run/walk. Several players participated, including linebacker Vince Biegel, quarterback Jacoby Brissett, offensive lineman Jesse Davis, wide receivers
