Do the Warriors, Lakers or Clippers make sense as a Jrue Holiday destination?


Maybe you missed it within the tidal wave of election news, but Shams Charania dropped an early NBA offseason nugget on Wednesday morning: The Pelicans are shopping Jrue Holiday, their underrated fringe All-Star point guard who would fit anywhere.

Seriously. There’s not a team that wouldn’t benefit immensely from adding Holiday with so little drawback. He isn’t a flawed non-shooting talent, like a Ben Simmons, who’d need to be surrounded by the proper components and system. Holiday doesn’t overlap with any type of backcourt partner. He’s a ready-made complement.

You want him on the ball, playmaking out of the pick-and-roll? Sure. He’s capable. He ran 402 pick-and-rolls last season and was also decently efficient in isolation. You need him to shift off ball, still affecting the scoreboard while throttling down his usage? No problem. He made 36 percent of his 144 catch-and-shoot 3s last season and sporadically slashes to success…
