Do the Ducks have a new first line? Plus, Ryan Miller says goodbye and what’s next for Ryan Getzlaf?

The best was saved for last in a season where their best rarely appeared and could leave them finishing last.

The Ducks capped their home schedule with a 6-2 rout of the Kings to finish off a four-game stretch with their Southern California rival. Their rousing performance drew cheers from the faithful at Honda Center, where they were terrible this season with a 6-18-4 record. Even managing a split of the eight games with Los Angeles, Anaheim will likely bring up the bottom of the West Division. The Ducks have four road contests left but the slumping Kings still have a five-point edge and three games in hand.

But the four Freeway Faceoff games did contain several developments. Four were particularly noteworthy.
